Elizabeth A. Silver, 87, of Moundsville, formerly of Benwood, died Monday, July 9, 2001 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and retired from Senior Services of Wheeling.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nora Brice Abraham. She was preceded in death by her husband James V. Silver in 1957, a son, Thomas E. Silver, a brother, Nassir Abraham, five sisters, Lorena Matiasek, Helen Roop, Delia Rupich, Mary Neely and Lucille Abraham.

Surviving are a son, James V. Cinda Silver, Jr. of St. Louis, MO; three daughters, Mrs. Perry Carmela Hazelwood, of Tamms, IL, Mrs. Fred Lucille Hicks and Mrs. Jim Regina Regiec both of Moundsville; a sister, Genevieve Abraham of Studio City, CA; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild.

Friends recieved 7-9 pm Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville.

Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, July 13, 2001 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with the Rev. Albert Driesch T.O.R. as celebrant. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV

Rosary devotions 7:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Restoration Fund, 7th and Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville, WV 26041.
