HOELZL, Elizabeth, 91, of Moundsville, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 in Moundview Nursing Home.
Elizabeth was born May 20, 1916 in Daraga, Albay, Philippines, a daughter of the late Frank and Concepcion Alcazar Hoelzl. She was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville and loved gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alfredo Hoelzl; two sisters, Concepcion Luna and Carmen Hoelzl; a nephew, Antonio Luna; and a niece, Maria Luna.
Elizabeth is survived by a sister, Francesca Javier and family of Cebu City, Philippines; nephews, Dr. Ignacio H. Luna Nancy of Glen Dale, W.Va. and Frederick H. Luna Luz and family of Phoenix, Ariz. and New York. Surviving relatives also include a great-niece, Dr. Monina Jao Gem and family of St. Clairsville, Ohio; a great-nephew, Mr. Michael Luna Dinah of St. Clairsville, Ohio; and nieces in California and Idaho.
Friends will be received from 7-9 pm, Friday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am, Saturday, April 26, 2008 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville, with the Rev. Al Driesch as celebrant
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier School, Moundsville.

We would like to express our sympathy for the loss of Tita. She was a great person, always put a smile on our faces, and taught us a little spanish on the side. She will truly be missed.
