BOYD, Elizabeth A. ”Betty”, 63, of Wheling, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
She was born March 10, 1938, daughter of the late Clem and Ann K. Weiskircher Frohnapfel.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph Auxiliary.
She enjoyed coordinating her class reunions and St. John Children’s Home reunions. She enjoyed the company of her close friends and she loved traveling. She also was an avid reader and a Steeler fan.
She was retired from the former Stone & Thomas Department Store.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Frohnapfel.
Surviving are her husband, Donald L. Boyd; two sons, Donald T. Boyd and his wife Jody and Kevin L. Boyd and his fiancee Julie Swerens; a daughter, Tammy A. Monahan and her husband Brian, all of Wheeling; a brother, Donald C. Frohnapfel and his wife Barbara, of Wheeling; a sister Kay Hohman and her husband Harry, of Triadelphia; three grandchildren, Tyler P. Monahan, Jordan D. Monahan and Kiersten E. Boyd, all of Wheeling.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, where vigil services will be held at 8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. James LaCrosse, S.M., as celebrant.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Parish School, 127 Key Ave., Wheeling.

I was so sorry to learn of your mom’s death. I did have the opportunity to meet her and she was a lovely person. I did not stop at the funeral home as I just lost my father last week. Again, I am so sorry.
