Eleanor W. Robatisin, 86, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 27, 1925 at Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Kudla Mielcarek.
Eleanor was a member of St. John’s Church in Bellaire, Ohio. She was an avid knitter and crocheter, sharing her skills with her children and grandchildren and volunteered at the Bellaire city Hospital for 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robatisin in 1978, her siblings; John, Stanley and Bernard Pevavar, Walter, Chester and Michael Mielcarek nd Helen Pevavar McCulley and Michaelene Mielcarek Diss.
Surviving are her daughters, Michelle Yocum, Dover, Ohio and Janet Bob Blackwell, St. Clairsville, her grandchildren; Zach Yocum, Rachel, Michael and Christopher Blackwell and a great-granddaughter, Eleanor “Ellie” Yocum. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Irene Katona and Dolores Mielcarek and brother-in-law, Charles Fran Robatisin and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM, Friday, January 27, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville, Ohio, with Fr. Michael Gossett the celebrant.
Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.
Memorial contributins may be made to St. John’s Church or School or to Valley Hospice.
Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, St. Clairsville, has been intrusted with the arrangements.

Michelle and Family, I am sorry to hear of Your loss. It is nice that You were able to be with Your Mom as long as You were in such a difficult time. I’m sure You gave her strength. my sorrow goes out especially to you janet michelle and zack. eleanor was one of those people that was in the catergory of “the best”. she will be sorely missed .
