Dear Fred,

Our deepest condolences to you on the loss of your mother. You’ve been an outstanding example for all of us in the devoted ways you honored your mother, but the pain of loss is difficult to bear. Know that your mother will always be with you, and that happy memories last forever.

Even nearly 50 years later, I can still remember playing in your basement, or bedroom, with your mother hard at work in the kitchen, making preparations for dinner.

Take comfort in the memories, know that God is always with you, and your parents are with God.

Peace, in Christ

Dear Fred,

I was so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I know it has been difficult for you to care for her, but you were a very loyal and caring son that I know she loved very much. If there is anything you need, just hop across the street. We are praying for you and your family.

Sincerely,

The Hoepfners

Dear Fred: We just heard of the loss of your mother. Please know we give our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family in your loss. She was a very pleasant lady and very interesting and intelligent. The days ahead will be an adjustment but you know where she is and know she is now totally happy and free from her illness.

Fred & Eric & family,

My thoughts and prayers for you during your loss.

I have fond childhood memories of when the Ottoson family came to Winchester to visit the Vaupels.

I remember vividly those aromas that flowed out of Heiney and Caroline’s kitchen and filled the lawns when we were out playing baseball or just sitting in the shade goofing off.

Your mom was a wonderful person and I know you will miss her greatly.

I look forward to visiting with her again in Heaven.

With condolences,

Chuck Horn
