Elaine Louise Stahl Bartsch, 64, of Incline Ave., Wheeling, died Friday, March 23, 2001, in Wheeling Hospital.
She was born Jan. 5, 1937 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Bernard and Helen Cardona Stahl.
She was an employee as a secretary at W.Va. Ohio Motor Sales, and a former employee of Stone and Thomas.
She was a 1954 graduate of Wheeling High School, an active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, and was also active as a seamstress in the Wheeling area.
Surviving are her husband, Frank G. Bartsch; two sons, Frank P. Bartsch and his wife, Diane of Georgia, and Duane A. Bartsch and his wife, Shelly of Wheeling; two daughters, Cheryl Mendenhall and her husband, Thomas of Wheeling, and Elaine Dolan and her husband, Matt of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Bernard L. Stahl Jr. of West Chester, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Bobby, Eric and Lee Mendenhall, Logan and Riley Bartsch, Brittany and Adam Dolan.
Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Patrick Condron as celebrant. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Vigil services at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
