STUMPP, Elaine D. Davis, 84, of Wheeling Island, Wheeling, WV, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling. She was born Oct. 28, 1918, in Pittsburgh, Pa, daughter of the late Russell and Evelyn Tad Modar Davis. She was retired from the Tea Room at the former Stone & Thomas, Wheeling; a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling; a member of Lady Elks, Island Senior Citizen and a volunteer at Wheeling Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stumpp in 1985; a brother, William Ewing Davis; two sisters, Betty I. Davis and Evelyn Gardener. Surviving are two daughters, Judith Kosar and her husband, John of North Attleboro, Mass., and Patricia Tominack of Wheeling; two sisters, Eleanor Smith and her husband, Manford, of Lusby, MD and Roxanne Moore of Wheeling; three grandchildren, Jodi Donahue and her husband, William, of Dracut, MA, John Kosar, Jr. and his wife, Erenn-Leigh of Marblehead, MA and Buster Tominack of El Paso, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Joseph and Michael Donahue, all of Dracut, Evan and Madyson Kosar, both of Marblehead; two nephews, William Moore and his wife, Tracy, of Hickory, N.C. and King Stumpp of Pennsylvania; and a niece, Linda Tuttle of Kansas. Friends receied 3-5 and 7-9 pm Tuesday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, where vigil service will be held at 7:30 pm Tuesday. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at St. Joseph Cathedral, with the Rev. Larry Dorsch as celebrant. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
