WOLF, Edward V., 93, of Wheeling, WV, died Saturday, June 21, 2003 in Bishop Joseph H. Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling. Edward was born July 20, 1909 in Wheeling, a son of the late Jacob and Sophia Vierheller Wolf. He was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp.; attended both St. Joseph Cathedral and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling; a member of the Elm Grove Eagles Aerie 1891; and was a volunteer at Family Services of the Upper Ohio Valley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Nixon King Wolf; a stepson, Robert King; three brothers, Jacob, Albert and George Wolf; and four sisters, Catherine Schoeppner, Mary Emmertt, Sophie Durant and Rose wolf. Surviving are a son, Charles "Chuck" Wolf of Elm Grove; two daughters-in-law, Judy Wolf of Elm Grove and Jacqueline King of Lancaster, CA; five grandchildren, Clinton Wolf and his companion, Jason Brady, of Seattle, WA, Daniel Wolf and his wife, Tracy, of Japan, Amber Wolfe and her husband, Robert, of Bethlehem and Robert King Jr. and Marjorie King, both of California; four great-grandchildren, Emily and Jacob Wolf, Lydia and Lillian Wolfe; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 1-3 and 6-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Wheeling where an Eagles Aerie 1891 service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, and a Rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Family Services of the Upper Ohio Valley, Nutrition Program, 51-11th St., Wheeling.
