Edward Joseph Berardi Sr., 80, of Wheeling, WV, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003 at home.<br>He was born August 6, 1923 in Benwood, WV, a son of the late Anthony and Giovanni Paullichi Berardi.<br>He was a retired electrician at Wheeling Machine Products and Wheeling Steel; a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Wheeling; an Air Force veteran of World War II; and a member of the Wheeling Eagles and Moundsville VFW.<br>In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Dellget Berardi; two brothers, Fred and Steve Berardi; four sisters, Adeline Sforza, Elva DiCola, Fanny Berardi and Elizabeth Canestraro; and a niece, Helen Materkoski.<br>Surviving is a son, Edward J. Berardi Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Wheeling; a daughter, Joan Levitt and her husband, Ashley, of Wheeling; eight grandchildren, Travis and Eddie Berardi, Krista and Matt Palkovic, Justin, Joseph and Abby Clovis and Shane Levitt, all of Wheeling; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Palkovic and Trevor Armstrong; three brothers, Henry Berardi and wife, Virginia, of Bridgeport, WV, Flanick Berardi and wife, Betty, of Glen Dale, WV and Raymond Berardi and wife Grace, of Youngstown, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.<br>Friends received from noon until 3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday.<br>Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday Dec. 1, 2003 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank O’Kruta as celebrant. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.<br>Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
