Edna J. Heverly
Age 78

Edna J. Heverly, 78, of East Liverpool Road, East Liverpool, Ohio died Sunday, May 11, 2003 at East Liverpool Convalescent Center #2 following a lengthy Illness.

She was born in Fredericktown, Ohio on October 20, 1924, the daughter of the late Floyd L. and Elizabeth Ann Smith Smith.

A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Heverly worked at Riverview Florists in the Orchid Department for 7 years. She belonged to the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Post 66 and was active in the West Point Fire Department. She attended the Second Christian Church.

Her husband, Thomas Gail Heverly, whom she married July 31, 1945, survives her at home.

She is survived by a brother, George Smith of Midland, PA; three sisters, Gladys Ashbaugh of Sunbury, Ohio, Olive Smith of East Liverpool, Ohio and Theda Bunton of Akron, OH; a niece, Janice Jones of East Liverpool, OH and several other nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Harold Smith and three sisters, Maxine Brown, Isabelle Walker and Wilda Talbott.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Vickie Yoder of Hospice of the Valley, officiating.

Burial will follow in First United Presbyterian Cemetery of Calcutta.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 from 11:00 AM up until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
