WEISENBORN, Earl F., 91, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 12, 1922, in Wheeling a son of the late Charles A. and Catherine Costello Weisenborn.
Mr. Weisenborn retired from the former Reichart Furniture Company after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Mr. Weisenborn served in the United States Army, 8th Special Service Company during WWII in the Pacific Theater.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Margaret SchaferWeisenborn and also two brothers, Charles and Gerald Weisenborn.
He is survived by 5 sons, Gerald Shelia Weisenborn of Charlottesville, Va.; Ronald Beverly Weisenborn of Brilliant, Ohio; Dennis Sue Weisenborn of Byesville, Ohio; Mark Pat Weisenborn of Barbersville, Va. and Eric Weisenborn of Wheeling; 2 daughters, Janet Monroe Hershberger and Kathy Bruce Keedy both of Wheeling; 17 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren and several nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
