Earl F. Hummel, 77, of RD 1 Moundsville, died February 24, 2002 in GlenDale, WV. He was a retired employee of the former Triangle Conduit Company, GlenDale; an Army veteran of WW II and a Protestant by faith. He was a member of the VFW Post 437 of Moundsville and a former member of the Limestone Volunteer Fire Dept. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles J. and Nancy Jane Plants Hummel, his wife, Berta Lee Hummel; his step-father, J.D. Maxwell; four brothers, Raymond Hummel, Junior and Cecil Maxwell and an infant brother; three sisters, Bernes Van Dyne, Carrie Crow and Mildred Neehouse. Survivng are a son, Earl GregoryDeborah Hummel of Friendswood, TX; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Donna Sue Doyel of Moundsville; four grandchildren JarrittCheryl Doyel, Mrs. ToddMelissa Furbee, Mrs. William Tracy Hunter and Chad Hummel; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends recieved on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and also on Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of service at 2:00 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, WV 26041. Interment in the Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard, WV. The Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct Military gravesides services.
