Earl D. Reese
Age 71
Earl D. Reese, 71, of Longs Church Road in Calcutta passed away at his home on Saturday, September 28, 2002, after a lengthy illness.
The son of the late Earl Henry Reese and Sara Wycoff Reese, he was born in Chester W.Va. on July 23, 1931 and lived his entire life in this area.
He was a Conductor with the Conrail Railroad retiring in 1991 and enjoyed meeting with the retired Railroaders, He was a graduate of the former Chester High School, class of 1950, and a Veteran of the U.S. Army surving in both Korea and Japan. Mr. Reese was a member of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in East Liverpool and was involved in their Softball and Basketball Leagues as well as the Presbyterian Church Camp.
Mr Reese is survived by his wife, Irene McNaught Reese whom he married on April 15, 1955. He is also survived by 3 sons and daughter in laws, Rusty Reese and his wife Debbie of East Liverpool, David Reese and his wife Sandy of Charlotte, N.C. and Andy Reese and his wife Lori of East Liverpool.
One brother, Donald Reese of Chester, W.Va. , two sisters, Betty Allison of Chester and Sallie Springer of Wellsville, Ohio. five grandchildren, Brian Reese of Columbus, Ohio, Jennifer Reese of Dayton, Ohio, Tiffany and Ashley Reese of Charlotte, N.C. and Cody Reese of East Liverpool.
In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by a sister, Nancy Stowers.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Tuesday, October 1, 2002, at 1:00 PM with Rev. James Thomson of the church officiating.
Burial will follow in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell, W.Va.
The family will be present to receive friends on Monday, September 30, 2002, from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. and up until time of services tomorrow.

Dear Irene, Rusty,Debbie, David, Sandy, Andy and Lori and families. We love you and are praying for you all. Earl was something special to us.
