Dorothy L. Ludwig
Age 77

Dorothy L. Ludwig 77, of Pennsylvania Avenue, East Liverpool, Ohio died on Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at East Liverpool City Hospital, following an extended illness.

She was born in New Cumberland, West Virginia on October 1, 1924, the daughter of the late William Wilson Kohler and Melba Delaney Kohler.

Living her entire life in the area, Mrs. Ludwig worked as a clerk and typist for the United States Navy. During World War ll, she worked at the former Crucible Steel Mill in Midland as a scarfer and then at Adkins Nursing Home. She graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1943 and attended Ohio Valley Business College in East Liverpool. She attended the First Church of Christ Disciples in East Liverpool.

Her husband, John Russell Ludwig, whom she married February 14, 1947, died February 27, 1985.

She is survived by a daughter, Sheridan L. Dagan of East Liverpool; a brother, Samuel W. Kohler of East Liverpool; a sister, Lillian E. Roach of Midland, PA.;
a step-granddaughter, Diane Dagan Carter of Austintown, Ohio.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Zane Russell Ludwig.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, July 6, 2002 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ronald Williams of the church, officiating.

Burial will follow in Calcutta United Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Friday. July 5, 2002 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM
