Vallelonga, Dorothy Jean, 81, of Shadyside, Ohio died Monday February 3, 2014 in Ohio Valley Medical Center Wheeling WV.

Dorothy was born November 7, 1932 in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carlos and Flora Hyett Brooks.
Dorothy was a retired Receptionist from the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Bellaire, Ohio, a 1951 graduate of St. John Central Catholic High School in Bellaire, and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Shadyside, OH.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Frank R. Vallelonga in 1988, and a sister, Thelma Eileen Lewin.

Surviving are two daughters; Sue Robin Scotka of Shadyside, Ohio and Cheryl Paul Kull of Bridgeport, Ohio, two grandsons, Ryan Scotka and Drew Scotka both of Dublin, Ohio, two brothers, Carlos Brooks of Vero Beach Fl. and Richard Brooks of Ok, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Dorothy was a devoted Mother and Grandmother and will be sadly missed.

Family and friends will be received Friday February 7, 2014 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday with Fr. Samuel Saprano officiating.

Interment will follow in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan, Pt, Ohio.

To Dorothy’s family,

Our sympathy and thougts are with all of you. May you find comfort in this difficult time. All of us will cherish the great times we had at the river front with your Mom and Dad.
