Dorothy E. Flora
Age: 87
Dorothy E. Flora, 87, of East Liverpool, Ohio died Saturday, January 19, 2002 at the East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on September 23, 1914 and the daughter of the late Earl and MaudeBennett Lawrence.
Mrs. Flora was a lifelong area resident and was an office worker at the former Golden Star Dairy and the D. M. Ogilvie Company. She is a graduate of East Liverpool High School and the Ohio Valley Business College.
She was a member of the Pennsylvania Ave. United Methodist Church and at one time taught Sunday School, sang in the Choir, and a member of the Welcome Class and Miriam Circle.
Mrs. Flora is survived by two daughters: Joan Givens and her husband Ronald of East Liverpool, Ohio and with whom she resided for the last two months, Jean Hager and her Husband James of East Liverpool, Ohio: two sisters, Kathryn Baldwin and her husband Harold, of East Liverpool, Bonnie Timmons of Chester, W.Va: three grandchildren, Ronald M. Givens and his wife Catina of Rogers, Ohio, Christina Harris and her husband Wayne of New Manchester, W. Va., and James Joseph Hager of East Liverpool, Ohio: one step-grand daughter Bilynda Limen and her husband Jeff of Salem, Ohio: two great grandsons Tyler D. Givens and Garrett N. Givens both of Rogers, Ohio.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Morland C. Flora who died February 13, 1997 and whom she married October 31, 1946 and by two brothers, Leo Lawrence and Earl Lawrence, Jr along with four sisters, Margaret Lawrence, Ruth Green, Lois Wagoner, and Betty Boram.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Wednesday January 23, 2002 at 2:00 PM. The family will be present to receive friends Tuesday January 22, 2002 between the hours of 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
Rev Dan Ferraro of the Pennsylvania Ave. United Methodist Church will be the officiant.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Lots of fond memories of Aunt Dot at church functions and family reunions. She will be missed.
