Dear Jerry and family….
Hurts to think of Doris gone! She was so full of life and so helpful to so many. Even after I left the Valley, my mother Anna Polivka always spoke so fondly of both of you through Rock Hill Church.
My prayers for you as you move through each day ahead.
As ever,
Carol Polivka Weiss

I am blessed beyond measure to have shard so many wonderful life moments with this lady. The laughs, the tears and times around the table will be cherished forever. I love you Momma C and will see you one day.
I am shocked and saddened by your loss. I remember fondly growing up next door on Stark St and staying overnight upstairs in the room with all the windows. Doris was my good friend and we shared many fun times. So sorry I didn’t see her recently. Hilda was my other Mom and gave support to my family. Sending my love and prayers of support to Jerry, JamBones, StushieLou and all the family. I am thinking of you at this sad time. Please Take Care
I am so very sorry to hear about Doris. We were student nurses together at OVGH, class of 1963. She was a cheery and positive person. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I am so very sorry to hear about your mom. I practically grew up in that house out on Rock Hill. I remember the good Italian food Doris made. It was the first time I ever ate gnocchi. She was always cooking something. Later in my adult years when she was still at the hospital, she was with my dad the day he unexpectedly passed away. She tried to save his life. She was the one to tell me he had passed. She cried with me that day. Doris will always hold a special place in my heart. So many memories. To the entire Ciofani family, I put my arms around all of you, just like your mom did for me. You will be in my prayers.
I am so very, very sorry to hear about Doris.
Gerry, you were always a great guy, the Kaldor girls were pretty and sweet and the boys were ornery. Yes, Fifty years has gone by but I remember you all very fondly.
Gerry, Lori & Family, I want you to know that I have thought about you many times over the years.
My deepest sympathies go out to you in this terrible loss. My thoughts & prayers are with you all.
God Bless!!
I do not know Doris personally, but I am a niece to her daughter, Terri. If Aunt Terri is any testament to the person Doris is and the way she has lived her life, I am so sorry never to have known her. I can only imagine how proud she is at the legacy of love she’s created and left for the world to enjoy. I celebrate her for that! May her family and friends find comfort and peace in this extraordinary time of loss. With much love and affection,
Val
I was shocked when you called me Monday morning, Jerry. Doris was my very best friend in high school and on through our lives. Growing up we practically lived at each others homes and did some really fun and silly things together. Even though we lived over 1,000 miles apart after high school we could call each other or get together and just pick up where we left off. Doris loved the Lord and would do anything for anyone. Jerry, we love you both and we know that you and your family will miss her terribly. The only sense we can make out of this is that someday we will see her again. Love to you all!
I was so sad to hear of Doris passing. I haven’t been down home in a few years but have very fond memories of Doris and all the Kaldors. We lived next door on Stark St and I spent as much time in their house as I did in mine. I remember Doris had such a great smile and laugh. You will all be in my prayers during this difficult time.
I’m so very saddened at the loss of my sweet sister in laws mom. What a sweet loving person Doris was to all she knew. She has left a legacy of beautiful children, grand children, and great grandchildren behind. My prayers are with all of you.

In high school, Doris was the most positive personality of our class. Never saw her without a smile on her face or a helping hand to her classmates. It appears that she carried on with her life in the same way. She and Jerry were a perfect match for each other. Doris, you will be truly missed.
Jerry and Family
You certainly have our sincere condolences in your loss of dear sweet Doris. She always had a smile and was always willing to help someone in the profession she so aptly chose for her life.
We can surely feel the loss you do so well feel now as my sister and Doris former playmate, Virginia, lost her husband nine months ago. You can be truly thankful Doris did not have to lay and linger with cancer knowing your passing was nearing.
We have lots of memories, I have a picture of the Kaldor and Dillon kids making mud pies one hot summer day up on Stark Street then trying to eat them! I am sure you have lot’s of good memories over the 53 years and Doris would want you to dwell on those.
God has promised that IF we put our trust in HIM and seek His help HE will be with us. May you find His strength each day to guide you.
