Donald R. Mahon II
Age 48
Donald R. Mahon II, age 48, of Vale Street East Liverpool died at the Alleghany General Hospital on Saturday, February 5, 2005, after a brief illness.
He was born in East Liverpool on July 28, 1956, the son of Donald R. and Evelyn Hutchison Mahon of Wellsville and lived his entire life in East Liverpool.
Don had been employed for 20 years at the W.H. Sammis plant of Ohio Edison last working in December as an Operator. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School, class of 1974, and a member of the Calcutta Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed collecting antique pottery.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Susan Coleman Mahon, whom he married on April 3, 1976, a son, Shawn D. Mahon of East Liverpool and a daughter Mrs Nate Shannon Siegferth of Akron, Ohio. He was also survived by a brother, Greg Mahon of East Liverpool and two sisters, Denise English of Tampa, Florida and Stephanie Mahon of Lisbon, Ohio and two grandchildren, Aiden and Isabelle, both of East Liverpool.
Services will be held at 1:30 PM , Thursday, February 10, 2005, at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes with Pastor Terry Berry of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Co. Memorial Park.
The family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

We are so sorry to hear about Donny. We remember when he and Susan came to our house. He was good friend of my son, Danny Calhoon. We lived on Avondale St. in East Liverpool, at the time.
