CAMPBELL, Donald L., Sr. 70 of Wheeling, died Saturday March 1, 2003 in Wheeling Hospital. Donald was born December 12, 1932 in Wheeling, a son of the late John and Mildred Burrall Campbell. He was retired from Blaw-Know Co., was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and a former member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Donald Campbell, Jr. and two brothers, Robert and Joseph Campbell. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Anna Bartels Campbell; five children, Dale M. Campbell and his wife Maria of Yorkville, OH, Diane M. Szeligo and her husband Rick of Wheeling, Denise L. Fonner and her husband Gary of Benwood, Deana L. Youngblood and her husband James of Wheeling and Dana M. Mele and her husband Curt of Benwood; a brother, Jim Campbell and his wife Norma Lee of Wheeling; 15 grandchildren, Donnie, Mandy, Kristen, Devin, Ricky, Brett, Adam, Andrea, Aaron, Nick, Seth, Dante, Ashley, Alexis and Abbey and 5 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6-8 pm on Monday and from 1-9 pm on Tuesday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:15 am on Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Thomas W. Dagle as celebrant. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society or to The Catholic Neighborhood Center, 125 18th Street, Wheeling.

Iam real sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to loose a close loved one. I just want you to know that my family and I are here for you if you need anything at all. I will send my contribution to the Catholic Charities. Again Im real sorry for your loss. I will be at the funeral home sometime before 3pm on Tuesday.

I am so very sorry to hear about your husband. I’m sure you know my feelings for you and your family.
