Our sympathies to the family and friends of Donnie, I will always remember him as a great fast pitch player, and also as a great person to work with, and most of all as a really GREAT Friend. Rich and Barb Beaver

The highest tribute to the dead is not grief but gratitude for the deceased having lived at all.

It always was odd to me why the person I first knew as Donnie when he lived behind the Santonas’ on 3rd Street would still have the adolescent “ie” after his name as an adult. Actually the answer was. simple, he was the same person for all those years.

Although his time on earth was cut short, I don’t know of too many that have enjoyed life more.

Donnie was one of “Life’s Good Guys” that no matter when he left us it was going to be too soon. I’m sure though that he never felt cheated and neither should we.

There are no words to express my deepest sympathy to “Pap Blake” and “Buddy & Dawnette”.

You all have been like “my own family” forever.

Life gives us some things that we don’t understand and this is truly one of them.

Donnie enjoyed his life, for that be glad and know that “now all the bad is over for your Dad”.

Take care of each other in this sad time.

Love,

“Aunt Karen”
