DeCrease, Domonick W., 92, of McMechen, WV, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
He was born May 2, 1915 in Benwood, WV, a son of the late Vincenzo and Filemna Santducci DiCrease.
Mr. DeCrease was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; a member of St. James Catholic Church, McMechen, the Garibaldi Lodge, Benwood, the Redmans 5 Club, Martins Ferry, OH, and the Knights of Columbus, Father Flanigan Council #1907, Moundsville, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Anthony, Frank, John, Phillip and Daniel DeCrease.
Surviving are his wife, Emma E. Donley DeCrease; a son, Robert DeCrease and his wife, Kathie, of Cross Lanes, WV; a daughter, Elizabeth Rosier and her friend, Cornelius Slaughter of Moundsville; three brothers, Aukey DeCrease of Camden, SC, Angelo DeCrease and his wife, Erma, of McMechen, and Jerome DiCrease and his wife, Claudette, of McMechen; a sister, Antionette Capabanico of Mingo Junction, OH; three grandchildren, Christopher M. DeCrease and his wife, Lisa, of St. Albans, WV, Rebecca R. DeCrease of Cross Lanes, and Holly Rosier of Moundsville; two great-grandchildren, Anthony DeCrease and Alyssa DeCrease of St. Albans.
Friends received 4:30-7:30 pm Friday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel 214 Marshall St., McMechen, WV.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Saturday, February 23, 2008 at St. James Catholic Church, McMechen with Rev. Joseph J. Hayden as celebrant.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.

Dear Emma’Nick will be greatly missed at the Schwender reunions.

You two were the true icons of the reunions.You were there thru good times and bad.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your father-in-law. Just wanted to let you know that I have been thinking of you and miss you here at work. What A Sweet Man. Mr. DeCrease always brought a bag full of candy to me whenever they would visit us in Charleston WV. He also gave my grandmother sita chocolate covered cherries whenever he would visit. He was such a gentle soul.
