Dominick Badia, 81, of Bellaire, Ohio died Tuesday December 19, 2006 at the Country Club Retirement Campus in Bellaire, Ohio.
He was born April 14, 1925 in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Sam and Carmela Iagnemma Badia.
After graduating from Bellaire High School in 1943, he joined the US Army and served at Camp Lee, Virginia, England, France and Germany during World War II. Dom attended Kent State University and after graduating he became an employee of the State of Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation Department and also served as Compensation Director for the former North American Coal Corporation at Powhatan Point, Ohio. He was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Dom was preceded in death by two sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Carol DiPaolo Badia, two children, Cheryl Wallace and her husband, Mike and David Badia and his wife, Cindy all of Bellaire, Ohio. Also four grandchildren, Ashley and Michael Wallace, David Menendez and his wife, Aimee and Michelle Weyrick and her husband, Harry, three great grandchildren, Dylan, Taylor and Lauren Menendez and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 am at the St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio with Msgr. Gene W. Mullett, the Celebrant. Entombment in the Guardian Angel Mausoleum at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Bellaire, Ohio.
Vigil services will be held at 2:15 pm on friday at the funeral home.

Dom was a wonderful warm person, that always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.
I will always remember him as good person and a devoted husband and father. We will all miss you very much Domenic.
