Dolores M. Massa 85, of Columbus Ohio, formerly of West 44th Street Shadyside, OH, died peacefully on Sunday October 9, 2011 in Columbus, OH.

Dolores was born January 13, 1926 in Shadyside, Ohio the oldest daughter of the late Jim and Jenny Begliomini Sbrissa. She was Valedictorian of Shadyside High School Class of 1943 and an accomplished pianist.

She retired after thirty years, as Medical Secretary and Receptionist at the Shadyside Clinic. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church Shadyside, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir and was church organist for forty years.

She loved walking, dancing with Armand, and playing the piano. One of her favorite hobbies was doing crossword puzzles.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Armand F. Massa in 2007, a sister, Melba Miller and brother-in-law, Edward Miller.

Surviving is a son, Fr. Mark Massa, S.J. of Boston, MA, a daughter, Jamie Stuart Hobbs of Columbus, OH, a granddaughter, Sarah Hobbs of Columbus, OH, and a brother, Ron Sharon Sbrissa of N. Hollywood, FL.

Family and friends will be received Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary Catholic Church Shadyside, Oh with Fr. Mark Massa and Fr. Samuel Saprano at Celebrants.

Interment follows in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Bellaire, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church East 40th Street Shadyside, Ohio 43947.
