Dolores J. Christ, 89, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008, in the Forest Hills Nursing Home, St. Clairsville.
She was born September 25, 1918 in Pittsburgh, PA. , a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Louise Orschel Christman.
Dolores was co-owner of Chic Jewelers and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville. She was also a member of the St. Francis Society; and St. Michael’s Christian Mothers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert B. Christ, her brothers; R. Willard and Joseph Christman and her sisters; Mary Louise Christman.
Surviving are two daughters; Judy L. Thomas Duymich and Mary Jane “Janie” Walter Bober, both of St. clairsville, eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 14, 2008, at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory, 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950, where a Vigil service will be held at 5:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville, with Father Anthony Batt the celebrant.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 98 East Cove Ave., Wheeling, WV 26003 or St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 212 West Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.

Pat, I’m sorry to hear about the passing of your grandmother. My mom called and told me. I remember her through all those years at family get togethers. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
