DIOLINO DEE SILVERIO, 89 of Shadyside died March 4, 2003 at the Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire, Ohio.

He was born May 31, 1913 in Delmont, Pennsylvania a son of the late Samuel and Mary DeNoble Silverio.

He was a retired foreman for the North American Coal Company’s Number 3 Mine at Dilles Bottom. He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church Shadyside, UMWA, BPOE 419 Elks of Bellaire and the IAC of Bellaire.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Annie Sambuco Silverio, three brothers, Alphonse Funzy Silverio, Roger and Ernest DeFelice and two sisters, Mariette Palmieri and Julia Trolley.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-eight years, Threase DeCola Silverio, two sons, Domenick and June Silverio of Key, Ohio and Richard and Mary Lou Silverio of Shadyside, Ohio and a daughter Mary Ann and John Cheffy of Barnesville, Ohio; two brothers, Elmer Silverio of Greenfield, Indiana and Daniel Silverio of Shadyside and two sisters Angeline Eafrati of Weirton, West Virginia and Josephine Valloric of Shadyside. Also four grandchildren, Richard Silverio, Michelle Silverio Keitz, Anne Cheffy Demmel and Alicia Silverio and six great grandchildren, Natalie and Aaron Silverio, Erich and Rachel Keitz, Ross and John Paul Demmel. Also several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM where services will be held on Friday at 11 AM with Rev. Father Frank C. Cronin officiating.

Interment in the Powhatan Cemetery Powhatan Point, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shadyside Care Center’s Residents Fund 60583 State Route 7 Shadyside, Ohio 43947 or the charity of the donor’s choice.

Alicia:

I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is going to be very hard for a while, just know that you have a lot of friends out there who are thinking about you. June must have been so proud of the kind, gentle, and caring person you have become. No doubt her spirit lives on through you.
