Dianna L. Cooper, 48, of Denver Street, East Liverpool, OH, died at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA on Thursday, April 25, 2002 after a brief illness. She was born in East Liverpool, OH on March 3, 1954, a daughter of Bobby Ray and Florence Gaines Smith, Sr. of East Liverpool, OH.

Mrs. Cooper served in the US Navy as a paralegal, retiring after 22 years service. She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School, Class of 1972 and was a member of the Etruria Street Church of God in East Liverpool.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, David L. Cooper, whom she married July 3, 1976; one son, Eric Cooper and his wife, Michelle of Hickory, NC; one brother, Richard Smith of East Liverpool, Ohio and three grandchildren: Elizabeth, Emily and Andrew.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Bobby Ray Smith, Jr in 1979.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Etruria Street Church of God on Saturday, May 4, 2002 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mitzi Wolfe of the church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to The Way Station, 614 St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920.

The East Liverpool Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes are in charge of the arrangments.
