FLEMING, Delbert ”Ditty,” 60, of Wheeling, died Thursday, March 29, 2001, in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.
He was born July 15, 1940 in Wheeling, W.Va., the son of the late Carl and Violet Placer Fleming.
He was a truck driver for the city of Wheeling, a Protestant by faith, a former umpire for Wheeling Adult and High School Girls Softball League.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John R. Nice; a brother, Carl Fleming Jr.; two sisters, Jerry Tidd and Amelia Martin.
Surviving are his former wives, his first wife, Linda Lou Hawkins of Wheeling and his second wife, Roberta Ann Fleming of Wheeling; seven children, Randy Fleming of Wheeling, Doug Nice and is wife, Betty of Wheeling, Nora Minda of Wellsburg, Violet Fleming and her fianc
Delbert was a very good friend and buddy. We will miss him deeply.
