Age: 48
Debbie L. Rodgers, 48, of County Road 72, Hammondsville, OH died at Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville, OH on Thursday, January 31, 2002. She was born in Marietta, OH on March 27, 1953.
Debbie had lived her entire life in this area working as a Billing Clerk at East Liverpool City Hospital for the past 13 years. She graduated from Stanton High School in 1971. Her hobbies were her family and friends which she enjoyed traveling and vacationing with.
Harold ”Huck” and Estella Tice, the wonderful people who raised her, preceded her in death in 1973 and 2001 respectively. She is survived by her husband, John, whom she married on September 8, 1973; her son: John D. Rodgers and his fiancee, Shannon Dotson both of Hammondsville, OH; her father: Clyde Martin, Sr. of New Matamores, OH; two brothers: Clyde E. ”Butch” Martin, Jr. of Newport, OH and Michael Martin of Hannibal, OH; several nieces and nephews and an abundance of very good friends.
Besides her ”parents” , she is also preceded in death by her mother, Norma Tice Martin.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, February 4, 2002 at 11:00 AM with Paul Weaver, cousin of Mrs. Rodgers, officiating.
Burial will follow in Hammondsville Cemetery.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Sunday, February 3, 2002 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
Memorial Contributrions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation.
Debbie is going to be missed very badly by everyone who new her at the hospital. No matter how busy she could always talk for at least a min

Debbie will be so greatly missed by all her friends and family. Our deepest sympathy to John, for we have witnessed the admirable love that the two of you shared. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you always.

I’m sure that Debbie will be sadly missed, and we want to express our sympathy to her family.
Our deepest sympothy goes out to all the family, her husbund, and friends. We didn’t know her personally but Mike Martin, her brother, and my mom, Valerie DeLancey Mike’s girlfriend talked very highly of her. Again, our prayers are with everyone!
