My grandfather Robert Norton is David’s brother and I wanted to send my thoughts and prayers to you during this difficult time. When I was a teenager, I got the chance to spend the summer with Uncle David and Aunt Brenda in Virginia during the summer. It was one of the best memories I had growing up. I had never seen the ocean before and They took me to the beach many times. Also, I looked forward to our daily trips to McDonalds for Uncle David’s free coffee. He had told me that he had a part in creating the original McDonald’s playland and I thought that was the coolest thing. I remember him and Aunt Brenda being very kind and gracious to me and I had such a good time with them. Unfortunately, our families grew apart through the years and I hadn’t seen Uncle David for many years. I will always have the special memories of my summer with him.

Praying for God’s comfort in the days ahead. May Shane know he has a heavenly Father Who will take care of him and his Mom. So glad to know that you have the support of a church family. May their prayers and physical presence in your lives lift you up as you walk through the valley of grief. You have many wonderful years and memories to cherish. Our prayers are with you. We enjoyed the video – Especially the picture of Shane and David at the end. It is priceless!
