David L. Westfall

Age 67

David L. Westfall 67, of Parkway, Calcutta, Ohio, died on Friday, July 20, 2001 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.

He was born in Canton, Ohio on December 15, 1933 and was the son of the late Samuel David Westfall and Mary Jackson Westfall.

Living most of his life in the area, Mr. Westfall retired in 1982 from the former Crucible Steel Company in Midland, Pa. where he worked as a Foreman in the 24 inch Bar Mill. He began working at the Deer Trails County Club in Industry, Pa. after retiring, last working in April of this year. He was a graduate of Chester High School, a member of Elks Lodge # 258, a former social member of American Legion, Post 121 in Chester, West Virginia and a former member of the Chester Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Beal Westfall, whom he married, December 15, 1951;

3 Daughters: Mrs. James Sherry Lynn Odell of Goose Creek, S.C.

Mrs. Raymond Mary K. Miller of Calcutta, OH

Mrs. Dean Sara L. Foster of New Waterford, OH

Grandchildren – 5

Great-Grandchildren – 1

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas C. Westfall.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, July 23, 2001 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Dennis Fellenger of the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene officiating.

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present at the funeral home in Calcutta on Sunday, July 22, 2001 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM where an Elks Service will be held at 6:30 PM.
