Darius M. Cooper

Darius M. Cooper, 83, of Glen Easton, WV died Saturday, October 6, 2001 in GlenDale, WV. He was a retired member of the US Air Force and also the US Civil Service. He was a Protestant by faith. He was a Veteran of WW II and the Korean War also having served in the Army and Navy. He was a life member of the VFW Post 437; American Legion, Earl Francis Post 3 both of Moundsville; and a life member of the DAV Post 28 of Charleston, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Ellen Miles Cooper; four brothers and a sister. Surviving are his wife, Garnet Lively Cooper; two daughters, Mrs. Rev. Harold Carol Garrison of Lawrencebugh, KY and Mrs. HenryBarbara J. Dick of Glen Easton; two grandchildren; two brothers, Cadell Cooper of Cummings, GA and Randy Cooper of Tucker, GA; a sister, Mrs. David Pauline Sutphin of Reynoldsburg, OH; four great grandchildren. Friends recieved from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV 26041. Military graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 PM at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY.
