Dale A. Call Sr., 63 passed away suddenly at his residence in Wellsville on Friday, May 22, 2015. He was born in East Liverpool, OH on February 26, 1952.
He lived his entire life in this area and was a 1970 graduate of Wellsville High School where he met his wife, Deanna Montgomery Call their sophomore year. He was raised by his grandparents the late William and Mildred Long and worked as a Welding Inspector for General Motors for 43 years before retiring in May of 2013. Dale was a proud union member of the U.A.W. Local 1112. He adored and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and taking them to their sporting events.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Dale A. Call Jr. and his wife Stacie and Richie Call both of Wellsville, OH; three brothers: Joseph Jay Call of Columbus, OH, Brian Joy of Lisbon, OH and Drew Long of Alliance, OH; two sisters: Brenda Sell of Wellsville, OH and Shyla Joy of Florida; grandchildren: Luke Call, Hannah Call and Sydney Call and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, JoAnn Joy, and grandparents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Donald Call, Jimmy Joy, Danny Joy and Michael Joy; and a sister: Janet Joy.
As per his wishes there were no public calling hours or services. Burial took place in Spring Hill Cemetery. The Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes was entrusted with his arrangements.

Chris and I were so sad to hear of Dale’s passing. The family is in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss Big Dale. We have so many memories of that great man.

I was dales team leader/friend at work in the weld destruct dept. We worked a ton of o.t. together. I learned so much from dale, not only about work, but life in general!
