I remember that Selina was my first choir director at an early age at The Thoburn Methodist Church in St.Clairsville…the first hymn I learned was This Is My Fathers World. Selina was a very happy, compassionate, caring person. I also remember her at school with Mr. John Shannon and Mr. Moore those are the days one never forgets.I later moved to other parts of the country and always remembered my roots and remembered many special people. I know that she will do a lot of singing for The Lord and one thing about it for sure we will meet on that beautiful shore. What a wonderful person.

I was so sorry to hear about Selina’s passing. She was at the superintendent’s office when I first started subbing in the system, back in 87-88. And I would occasionally run in to her outside the school after her retirement. She was always friendly and was well liked by all who knew her. She will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to all of Selina’s family. I met selina when I began my teaching career in St. Clairsville around the early 1970’s. She was always a very pleasant and happy lady. In fact, she was the first secretary I had worked with during my 30 years in the teaching profession. Nowadays, many an office manager would learn from her positive attitude, charming smile and pleasant working attitude. I am sorry to hear of her passing. —– Jean Paglialunga

Some of my nicest memories of Thoburn United Methodist Church included Miss Henderson. Not seeing her smile and hearing her warm words at church will put sadness in our hearts.

We are very sorry that Selina is no longer with us. We will always remember her as a wonderful lady who loved us, guided us and comforted us at all times.
