I am so sorry to hear about Bonnie. I went to school with her at Denbigh and graduated a year before her. She was such a nice person with a beautiful smile. May God be with you at this time to help heal your pain.

I grew up in Lee Hall with Bonnie, we went to school together. It’s sad that friends lose touch with each other and I haven’t seen Bonnie since high school. I am saddened by your loss and pray for the Lord to comfort you during this time. Jim Murphy

I will always remember how beautiful Bonnie was and how much she lit up our lives at Denbigh High School. I am saddened that she will not be there in person to celebrate our 30th reunion with us. I know she will be there in spirit because she loved her years at Denbigh.

With love, thoughts and prayers.

I’ve known Bonnie since about the 6th grade when we went to skate all the time at Ft Eustis. I think her mom used to work at the snack bar there. I have often wondered about how she has been. I am saddened to see that she has fought a battle now for so many years. I lost track of her since we graduated but her face pops up in my mind from time to time. I shall miss her.

My deepest sympathies to her family. I can only say that after loosing a loved one you just need to keep in mind that they are now “whole and healthy”, no more suffering. I remember Bonnie’s smile the most, she was so beautiful & kind. God Bless You All.

To Bonnie’s family,

I send my deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of Bonnie Hendrix Bridges. I went to school with her at Denbigh and after I moved on to Menchville High school, Bonnie and I seemed to cross paths at different places throughout Newport News over the following 4 years.

She was a wonderful and compassionate woman as well as a good friend and my heart is extremely heavy today as I write this. My life was enriched due to our brief friendship and I will miss her terribly.

Please know that she touched so many people and we have all lost a sister and wonderful friend. I grieve with you on your loss of Bonnie and will do so for the rest of my life. I am so, so sorry.

Sincerely in my prayers,

Ron Herrin
