CLARENCE R. CRAIN
Norfolk- Clarence R. Crain, 76, passed away Feb. 5, 2005 in a Norfolk Hospital. He was the son of the late Clarence R. Crain and Clara Adylett Crain. After serving in the US Coast Guard, he became an electrician and retired in 1990 from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 80.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Alice Howard Crain; two sons, Steven C. Crain and his wife Lynette K. Crain of Virginia Beach, Daniel S. Crain and his wife Linda S. Crain of Norfolk; sister Mary E. Martin and her husband Paul Martin of Pensacola, FL; brother Leslie L. Crain and his wife Norma R. Crain of Kitty Hawk, NC; two granddaughters, Stacie Melissa Crain and Melanie Lou Crain; two grandsons, David Scott Crain and Garrett Daniel Crain; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday Feb 9 at 10:00am at Azalea Baptist Church
3314 E. Little Creek Rd., Norfolk, with Rev. John Moxley officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home 5792 Greenwich Rd., Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Azalea Baptist Church.
Alice, I wish very much that I could attend the service for Clarence. My love and prayers are with you continually. I feel greatly blessed to know you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was fortunate to meet most of the family at one time or another through Linda and I always enjoyed being around Mr. Crain. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Mrs. Crain, Steve, Danny. Please accept my condolence on the passing of your beloved “CR” whom I remember from my childhood as a sweet gentle man that had a great Toronado and even let his teenage son drive. I know you will miss him and my prayers are with you.
