I went to Independence High School with Chris. We were good friends. He taught me how to live a little and I help him focused to graduate. He was a great friend and i just found out what happened. Just wanted to send my condolence to his family. When he left for the navy he told me don’t say goodbye say see you later. I miss him like crazy and holding on and cherishing the memories we had.

Montes Family,

I am still lost for words, as I type this. Christian will be severely miss, but will never be forgotten. He was a one of a kind, always had a smile on his face, and never complained about shipboard work. One last thing, Christian ALWAYS wore the NAVY colors with Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

Im sorry I am not able to attend, but my heart is there in spirit, to celebrate, Christian’s life.

Take care and GOD BLESS.

My heart goes out to you all during this tough time. Be strong and dwell on the good times and good memories you had with him. His legacy will live on in the beautiful children that he blessed this world with. I know that there is nothing that anyone can say that will lift your sorrows, but just know that you have an entire Navy family that cares about you and will be thinking of you dearly. I didn’t know him personally but he was a Sailor – therefore he was my brother. He will be truly missed.
