DEITZ, Charles W., 81, of Glen Dale, WV, died in Riverside Hospital, Columbus, OH.
He was born August 1927 in McMechen, WV, a son of the late Kenneth and Helen Hinds Deitz.
He was a retired Field Engineer for Unisys Corporation, a member of Glen Dale United Methodist Church, an Army-Air Force veteran of WWII.
Surviving is his wife, Marcella Morris Deitz, one son, Clay Deitz of Palmdale, CA; one daughter, Carol Ann von Clausburg and her husband Richard of Blacklick, OH; three grandsons, Kyle Deitz of Tucson, AZ; Alexander von Clausburg and Christopher von Clausburg both of Blacklick, OH.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 12noon Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen, with Rev. Billy Ray Carpenter officiating.
Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Glen Dale United Methodist Church or Salvation Army.
