Charles Vallie Hall, 87, of GlenDale, WV, died Saturday, July 14, 2001 in Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born March 31, 1914 in Glen Easton, WV son of the late Charles E. and Hallie Grace Butcher Hall.

He was a retired superintendent with the Foster Wheeler Corp. He was a member of the Moundsville Baptist Church; and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was also a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local No. 83, Wheeling; the American Legion, Earl Francis Post No. 3 and the V.F.W. Post 437 of Moundsville.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Mary Virginia Huggins Hall; two sons, James L. Nancy Hall of GlenDale and Gary B. Violet Hall of Lumberport, WV; four daughters, Mrs. Fred Mary V. Games of Mt. Olivet, Mrs. James Phyllis J. West of Mt. Olivet, Mrs. Gary Doris E. Blake of Lexington, OH, and Mrs. Douglas Norma K. McPeek of Richland, IN; a brother, Raymond F. Hall of Moundsville; a sister, Margarite Karr of Moundsville; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be recieved Monday 7-9 pm, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am with the Rev. J. Thomas Steele officiating. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville. Military graveside services will be held by the Moundsville Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Moundsville Baptist Church, 4th and Annadale Avenue, Moundsville, WV 26041.
