Charles R. Vance, 72, of Wheeling, West Virginia, died Monday, February, 12, 2001, at home.
He was retired from the former Louis Marx Co., and Coronet Foods. He was an Army Veteran of the United States Army 1st Infantry Division, and Protestant by faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mayme Herbick Vance; three brothers, Wiliam ”Dee”, Harold ”King”, and Albert Lee; and a nephew, Howard ”Billy” Watkins.
He is survived by his wife, Ethelyn Barker Vance; a daughter Erin Elizabeth Cuffaro and her husband, Peter L., of Wheeling; a brother, Howard ”Yip” Vance and his wife, Mildred, of Wheeling; three sisters, Elizabeth Watkins, Dorothy Adair, and Nelda Bishop, all of Wheeling; a granddaughter, Jessica Elizabeth Baker of Wheeling; 11 nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends received 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednedsay at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, WV, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Terry Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, Ohio.
