HUNTER, Charles D. “Pete”, 69, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born February 13, 1946, in Wheeling, a son of the late Lawrence and Gwendolyn Simmons Hunter. He was a retired chemical worker for PPG and a member of St. Joseph Cathedral in Wheeling. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Hunter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marva Rose Hunter; two children, Stacy Hunter of Charlotte, N.C., and Michael Hunter of Wheeling; one grandson, Chris Hunter; two sisters, Shirley King of Wheeling, and Alberta Underwood of Avon, Ohio; one brother, Phillip Hunter of Steubenville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 11 am with Rev. Daniel Mason officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
