BRADAC, Charles J., 90, of Wheeling, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at his home.
Mr. Bradac was born September 20, 1918 in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of the late Anton and Josephine Kocka Bradac. He was a retired analytical chemist with the Environmental Protection Agency; member of St. Michael Parish, Wheeling; and a U.S. Army Air Corp. veteran of WWII.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Andrew Bradac; and two sisters, Marie Smaltz and Helen Fischer.
Mr. Bradac is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Rosalia Schneider Bradac; four children, Elaine Hunter and her husband, Dr. Robert of State College, Pa., Dr. Charles Bradac of Wheeling, Dr. James Bradac and his wife, Corinne of Myersville, Md. and Renee Thomas and her husband, Andrew of Canandaigua, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Glantz and her husband, Brennan, Megan Bell and her husband, Keith, John Hunter and his wife, Theresa, Brian Bradac and his wife, Dr. Tricia, Michelle Bradac and Jeffery and Ian Thomas; and three great-grandchildren, Madelaine and Lyla Bell and Van Glantz.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Sunday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, with a vigil service at 3:30 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am, Monday, November 3, 2008 at St. Michael Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. Anthony Cincinnati as celebrant. Entombment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Wheeling.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Michael Parish Capital Campaign, 1225 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
Dad, I will miss you calling me Babe. But you will be able to cheer on the Mountineers, the Steelers and the Pirates in the best seat of the House.
