Weisenborn, Charles Edward ”Charlie” Sr., 70, of Jefferson Avenue, Wheeling, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, in the Wheeling Hospital.

He was born April 23, 1931 in Wheeling, a son of the late Charles A. and Catherine L. Costello Weisenborn.

He was owner of Weisenborn Plumbing in Wheeling; a Navy veteran who served aboard the US Wisconsin and was a Christian by faith.

In addition to his parents, his brother, Gerald, preceded him in death in July, 1944, during World War II.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Teresa F. Wiethe Weisenborn; four sons, Chuck of Wexford, Pa., Thomas of Piedmont, Ohio, Kenneth and his wife, Jeanne of Wheeling, and Andrew and his wife, Tracie of Lansing, Ohio; five grandchildren, Justin, Derek, Kiley, Andrew and Sadie; a brother, Earl F. Weisenborn of Wheeling; his black lab, Ben; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Private graveside services and interment will be held at the family’s convenience in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling. A memorial service will be held at Mount de Chantal in Wheeling on Dec. 1, 2001 at 11:15 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Visitation Retirement Fund, Mount de Chantal, 410 Washington Ave., Wheeling, W.Va. 26003.
