Charles E. Timberlake, 80, of Wheeling, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, in the Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.
He was a retired clerk of municipal court for the City of Wheeling Police Department; a veteran of the U.S. Air Force of World War II; a member of the Elks Lodge; and was a Catholic by faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas C. and Anna McVey Timberlake; his wife, Edith R. Siegwart Timberlake; and an infant brother, Thomas C. Timberlake.
Surviving are three sons, Charles Wayne ”Tim” and his wife, Marilyn Timberlake of Three Rivers, Michigan, Larry E. and his wife, Susie Timberlake of Wheeling and James D. and his wife, Tammy Timberlake of Mozart, West Virginia; a daughter, Jacalyn Hurdzan of Beech Bottom, West Virginia; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Wilhelm officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
