HOSKINS, Charles Encil, 77, of Glen Dale WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 13, 2009 at Bishop Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling WV. Born in Wheeling on July 17, 1931, Charles was the son of the late C. Encil and Mary Virginia Meadows Hoskins. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, Mingo Junction Plant with 38 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Charles E. Hoskins and his step grandson, Christopher Michael Lowry. Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Ann Williams Hoskins; his children, Karen Rogerson of Moundsville WV, James Martin Hoskins of St. Clairsville OH, Patty Greathouse of Murfreesboro, Tenn., David Hoskins Christie of Moundsville WV, Joe Hoskins Melissa of Cross Junction VA; his step daughters, Melanie Davis Butch of Moundsville WV, and Stephanie Berisford and Rich Mathews of Trenton Mich.; his daughter in law, Sue Hoskins of Moundsville; fourteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Ave, Moundsville WV on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where services will be held on Thursday at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Halcyon Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Animal Shelter, 12th Street, Moundsville WV.
