I have many fond memories of a wonderful lady who cared for all of us at Pembroke Elementary School for many years. Charlene shared her cooking, her wisdom, and her many yard sale treasures with all of us. She was truly a blessing to staff and students. We will miss her deeply.

I remember Charlene as the mother I wish I had. She was always kind and understanding. Every time I was around her I felt a warmth in my heart. I remember as a child playing with her children as if they were my own sisters. Our prayers go out to her family. She will always have a special place in our hearts.

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Mom is a treasure that will be shared by all who knew her. I will always remember how she made me laugh by joking with our friends. One day the school nurse asked us to reposition a student on the bean bag chair because her head was a little close to the floor. Mom’s reply was, “we’ll get her when she hits the floor”. The nurses’s expression was shock & we all laughed so much. I will miss her very much!
