Cecil M. Butler, 87 of Wheeling, formerly of Triadelphia, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling.
He was born in Wheeling on October 29, 1915, the son of the late John Ross and Dessie Mae Nickerson Butler.
Cecil was a Methodist by faith, a U.S. Air Force Veteran of WWII, and a former employee of Scott Lumber Company, Triadelphia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Betty Lee Nicholson, six brothers: Leslie, Robert, Howard, Dale, Kendall and Donald Butler, and two sisters: Madelyn and Patty Jean Butler.
Cecil is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Ann Montalbano Butler, a son: Richard Butler and his wife Karen of Triadelphia, two daughters, Judy Hackathorn and her husband Alfred of Sherrard, Donna Jean Farmer and her husband Earl of Triadelphia, a sister: Betty Hupp of Wheeling, six grandchildren: Karen, David, Cheryl, Melanie, Susie, Earl Jr., seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove Chapel, Wheeling, WV, where services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Linda M. Glass officiating. Interment will follow at West Alexander Cemetery, West Alexander, PA.
