Carolyn L. Homic Abbajay
Age 69

Carolyn L. Homic Abbajay 69, of Clarks Mill Road, Hammondsville, Ohio, died Sunday, March 2, 2003 at Trinity Medical Center, West in Steubenville, Ohio following a 14 month illness.

She was born in Ripley, West Virginia on January 27, 1934, the daughter of the late Elija Aaron Smith and Georgia Casto Smith.

She was a wife, mother and a homemaker and a graduate of Ripley High School in Ripley, West Virginia.

She is survived by her husband, James J. Abbajay.

Mrs. Abbajay is survived by two sons, Joseph B. Homic II of Burgettstown, PA and Craig A. Homic of Hammondsville, Ohio; a daughter, Kimberly H. Campion of Merrimac, New Hampshire; 3 sisters, Lena White of Wellsville, Gwendola Checkler of Wellsville and Clara Tappan of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 11 grandchildren

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Smith and two sisters, Georgia Williams and Frances Morris.

Services will held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at 11:00 AM with Father Gabriel Yablonsky, officiating.

Burial wil be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home in Wellsville on Wednesday, March 5, 2003 from 4-9 PM
