To the Entire Vest Family:
How sad I was to hear of the passing of your dear mother. I have fond memories of my younger days living in our wonderful 8th Street/Outlook Road neighborhood. How many times that we played on the Outlook Road street near your home, dodging cars some being your mother and father!! that would pass by and interrupt a game of basketball or whiffle ball or football.
The Loves, the McLanes, the Conrads, the Roses, the Babcocks, the Rosiers, the Driesingers . . . the list just goes on and on of the fine families that made up our circled block behind FHS. And I remember your mother up at the hospital working as a “Candystriper”, just like my mom. And Sundays at the First Church. I know that recalling those days helps me in bringing back pleasant memories, especially after losing both of my parents, Jean and Bill. I hope that some of your memories from that time help to brighten you at this very hard time
Sally and Carolyn, I just want you to know that my family’s thoughts are with you at this sad time. And I’m sure that my brother Bill Dick and sister Susan would join me in this message.
