Caroline Ragus, 89, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Saturday, July 19, 2008, in the Beacon House, St. Clairsville, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
She was born February 22, 1919 in Dillonvale, Ohio, a daughter of the late Attilio and Louise Bertha Zambon Zasio.
Caroline owned beauty shops in Tiltonsville, Ohio and Yorkville, Ohio; and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of St. Clairsville.
She was an accomplished organist, playing at the Dillonvale Presbyterian Church and the First Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville. She was heavily involved in many community activities in St. Clairsville, including the P.E.O. , Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority, Senior Bowling Group and Presbyterian Women’s Group. She also taught Sunday School. In 1953 Caroline was named to the Most Beautiful Women in Eastern Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Ragus, on November 7, 1972. Caroline and Nick were married on June 6, 1959 and moved to St. Clairsville in 1966. She was also preceded in death by one brother, John Zasio and two sisters; Norma McGlaun and Katherine Zasio.
Surviving are one sister, Jean Zasio of Dillonvalle, Ohio, one brother, Art Dee Zasio of Canyon Lake, CA., seven nieces and nephews; and seven grand- nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the First Presbyterian Church, 110 South Marietta Street, St. Clairsvile, Ohio on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, from 10 AM until 11 AM, with Rev. Homer Harden officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

I have many fond memories of Caroline growing up in Tiltonsville at the Beauty Shop.

So sorry for your loss. We knew Caroline for many years in Dillonvale. Lovely person.
