Carole L. Roush
Age 61

Carole L. Roush, 61, of Hull Road, Salineville, Ohio, died, Monday, July 7, 2003 at home following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Wellsville, Ohio on November 14, 1941, a daughter of the late Karl L. and Margie Cole Whitaker. A lifelong area resident of Wellsville and Salineville, Mrs. Roush was a wife, mother, grandmother and a homemaker. She was a 1959 graduate of Wellsville High School.

Mrs. Roush is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Roush at home, whom she married March 28, 1959.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Mark D. Roush of Jewett City, Connecticut, Tim J. Roush and his wife Jean of Wellsville and Thomas "Chip" Roush of Wellsville; a brother, Jack Whitaker of Wellsville and a sister, Terri Utt and her husband, Darrell of Salineville; seven grandchildren, Brittany Roush, Breanna Roush, Brett Jackson, Alan Roush, Erin Roush, Tyler Roush and Jacob Roush.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Friday, July 11, 2003 at 11:00 AM with Bill Kelly, Evangelist of the Calcutta Christian Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in Highlandtown Church Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel on Thursday, July 10, 2003 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Highlandtown Volunteer Fire Department or to Hospice of the Valley, Mahoning County, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44512.

Carole and I were good friends in our school days. Sorry I was unable to attend the viewing or services.

Knew Carole when we were in the same homeroom in 7th grade. Left Wellsville in 1954 but have returned for most of the reunions and have enjoyed seeing all of our classmates, and especially Carole, a very special person.
